Job Description

The State College Area School District is seeking a highly organized and proactive Secretary to support the Directors of Special Education and Gifted Education. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of K-12 programming. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting educational equity and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support, including scheduling, managing calendars, document preparation, and meeting coordination.

Oversee the Extended School Year program under the direction of the Director for eligible special education students.

Process and finalize IDEA & Chapter 16 documents.

Maintain historical records for all special education and gifted students.

Attend and participate in all required meetings and trainings.

Any other duties and projects as assigned by the Special and Gifted Education Administration.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalency

All Commonwealth, federal and District required clearances and mandates

Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality

Experience in education settings preferred

Grade C, 7.5 hours/day; 260 days/year

The minimum pay rate for this position is $20.50 per hour
