Job Description

We are looking for an experienced front office patient care coordinator for our growing dental practice. We are a growing Dental Office in Williamsport who places a high emphasis on patient care and exceptional treatment and are looking for someone who shares in our values! The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills and enjoys a fast pace working environment, can multi-task and has a minimum of three years experience of working in a dental or medical office. Working specifically with Insurance Claims and EOBs is a benefit but not required . Some of the job responsibilities are: Schedule appointments according to the perfect day scheduling protocol (needs to use quick thinking skills to methodically place patients on the schedule). Greet all arriving patients with a smile & inform the team of their arrival. Register new patients according to established office protocols. Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation. Inform patients of dental office procedures and policy. Enter all patient information into data system accurately. Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Answer and manage incoming calls. Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol. Request x-rays and referral for upcoming appointments. Arrange patient charts for next day appointments and verify insurance coverage. Collect co-payments from patients at time of treatment. Enter and process EOBs from insurance companies into patient's charts. Verify and process refunds to patients.
Skills required:
Proficient in operating phone systems and handling multiple phone lines. Strong knowledge of office procedures and administrative tasks. Maintain a professional reception area. Familiarity with dental terminology and dental office operations. Experience working with practice management software. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. The position is Monday through Friday (no weekends). Alternating shifts of 7am-3pm and 9:30am-5:30pm. Weekly hours can range from 35-40 hours depending on your preference. Great hourly pay and generous bonuses depending on education and experience. All inquiries are kept confidential.
