Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position provides administrative support to the Operations team and helps coordinate statewide initiatives, including conferences, trainings, workforce efforts, community partnerships, and other programs that promote the health and well-being of North Carolinians. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who is organized, dependable, and energized by variety. It is an opportunity to build broad nonprofit experience and develop the organizational and administrative skills needed for long-term professional growth. Essential Duties The Administrative Assistant will assist with a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: Provide support to the Governor's Institute Team. Assist with the preparation of meeting materials, reports, and presentations. Assist with purchasing, travel coordination, event logistics, and inventory management. Support grant administration through recordkeeping and reporting. Communicate professionally with partners, faculty, vendors, contractors, and participants. Support quality assurance and continuous improvement of organizational processes. Assist multiple departments on special projects as organizational priorities evolve. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software and technology. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Initiative and adaptability. The ability to anticipate needs and solve problems proactively. A willingness to learn. Salary Range and Employee Benefits The salary for this position is $45,000 - $47,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
