• Executive Assistant — High-End Landscape Design, Build & Maintenance
• DC Freeman DC Freeman is a high-end landscape design, build, and maintenance company, and we're looking for a full-time Executive Assistant to work directly alongside the owner. This is a hands-on, close-to-the-business role for someone who wants to grow with us — not just fill a seat.
• What you'll actually be doing
• No two days look the same here.

One day you're setting up a better way to track client communications and project timelines; the next you're fielding a call from a client, coordinating with a crew in the field, or helping problem-solve something that came up mid-project. You'll be working directly with the owner and with clients, so you're often the first point of contact and the person keeping everything connected behind the scenes. Some days you'll be working from home, but most days you'll need to be out in the field with the owner for at least part of the day helping run errands, so reliable transportation matters. January and February are our slower months, so there's a lot more flexibility during that stretch of the year.

• We need someone who can wear a lot of different hats in a single day and stay steady doing it.

Landscaping is inherently a little unpredictable — weather shifts, schedules move, priorities change — and we need someone who can handle that organized chaos without losing their footing: staying calm, thinking clearly, and problem-solving in real time. Strong organizational instincts, follow-through, and dependability matter more here than a specific background — we need to be able to count on you. Knowledge of plants and landscaping is a nice-to-have, not a requirement. What matters most is that you're a reliable team player who takes ownership, works hard, and wants to build something with us. This role has real room to grow — the more capability, commitment, and hard work you bring, the more responsibility and opportunity will follow.

• A valid driver's license and comfort working in QuickBooks.

• This is a full-time position based mostly in Essex County, though the exact location shifts with the project. Pay ranges $25-30/hr depending on experience. We pay for gas during work hours, and Memorial Day, Labor Day, and July 4th are paid holidays. There's a year-end bonus based on hard work and performance.
