THE POSITION
Join the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Fayette, as a Clerical Assistant 2 and become an important part of daily facility operations. This role helps keep essential information organized and supports staff across the institution. Your work will make a direct impact on efficiency and communication. This position provides important clerical and office support that helps the facility operate smoothly and efficiently. The work involves managing information, assisting staff, and supporting daily operations. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:Information Management:
Record and prepare information while maintaining accurate updates across multiple systemsReception Support:
Answer phones, assist visitors, process mail, and respond to inquiries while maintaining confidentialityFile Maintenance:
Open, organize, and maintain electronic files in accordance with required standardsInventory Assistance:
Monitor supplies and equipment to support smooth office operationsAdditional Tasks:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework:

Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes). Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:
