The Office of Graduate Programs requires someone who is reliable, personable, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities•Greet and direct walk-in visitors and answer phonesClerical duties including:assembling of recruitment materialsprocessing mail, faxes and formsusing a scanner to image documents and link to student recordspreparing mailingscopyingfilingusing a computer to enter dataOccasionally assist with recruitment eventsMaintain a neat and orderly reception areaOther related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications•Position is open to UM-Flint students only.

The essential skills required for this position include:

Demonstrated careful attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity with computers and basic office equipmentAbility to respect and maintain student confidentiality and present a businesslike appearance and demeanorDesired Qualifications•Availability at least two days per week; hours are flexible, but availability during the 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM time period is strongly preferred. Candidate should have motivation and initiative to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Prior experience in an office setting is a plus.

UM-Flint Work-study eligible student is preferred.

Modes of WorkOnsiteThe work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work locaton within or outside of the State of Michigan.
