Job Description
Administrative & Office Support:
Experience performing administrative, clerical, fiscal, payroll, inventory, or customer service functions in an office environment.Systems & Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrated proficiency using computers and office technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email systems, scanners, copiers, printers, and multi-line telephone systems.Communication & Customer Service:
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, customers, and external members of the public through verbal communication, email, and written correspondence. Ability to provide customer service and respond professionally to inquiries from the public, employees, and partner agencies.Confidentiality & Information Stewardship:
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive payroll, personnel, and financial information.Organizational Skills:
Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple assignments accurately while meeting established deadlines.Inclusive Work Environment:

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and make informed decisions within established policies and procedures.Payroll Processing:
Ability to learn and apply new systems, processes, and regulations related to payroll, accounting, inventory, permitting, and administrative operations.Agency-Specific Experience:
Experience using WSDOT systems, such as PCMS, DOTtime, TRAINS, vouchering systems, or other enterprise financial or payroll systems.Financial Document Management and Compliance:
Experience maintaining inventory records, processing fiscal transactions, or reconciling financial data.Collaboration & Adaptability:
Experience coordinating work with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. In addition to base salary, employees may be entitled to other forms of compensation depending on the type, duties, or location of the position.
