A Front Office Assistant greets people in an office, handles calls, and provides administrative assistance for the office. Organizes files and assists with record keeping and data base management. Manages office mail, email and text correspondence. Greets visitors, clients, patients or vendors who come to an office. Answers phone calls and directs inquiries to other staff.
This is a hybrid role. Mornings are spent supporting our existing front office team with customer service duties. Afternoons are spent in the shipping department, packing, sterilizing, and coordinating shipments. Please read the full description before applying. We are a fast-paced, full-service dental lab in Hutto, Texas, serving dentists across the region. We are looking for a customer service driven, hardworking, go-getter who can move comfortably between the front office and the shipping department. Clinical or dental knowledge is a big plus but not required. We will train the right person. Are you a high-energy, expert multitasker who is optimistic and upbeat? What you will do:
Front office and customer service (mornings, supporting our front office team) Answer phones and manage case work traffic Enter and invoice cases Communicate with clients by phone and email Provide internal customer service and support other office staff Handle a high volume of typing and data entry accurately Shipping and receiving (afternoons) Pack models and appliances using bubble wrap and proper protective materials Sterilize appliances according to lab protocol Prepare and process outgoing shipments via courier, FedEx, and UPS Receive and log incoming packages and cases Make daily package drop offs to UPS across the street Run occasional hot shot pickups and deliveries to customer offices as scheduled What we are looking for: Strong customer service instincts and genuine relationship-building skills Confident and comfortable speaking on the phone daily with doctors and their staff, this is a core part of the role, not an occasional task Comfortable with computers and heavy typing High attention to detail in a physically active, fast-moving environment Reliable, consistent, and able to shift between desk work and hands-on tasks without losing track of either Valid driver's license, required for deliveries and drop offs High school diploma or equivalent Dental or clinical knowledge is a plus.
Schedule:
Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Average 38 hours per week. Mornings in the front office, afternoons in shipping.
