We run a group of businesses in the epoxy and decorative coatings world: a commercial flooring and coatings install company, two direct-to-consumer product brands, and a training program for professional installers. We're looking for one sharp, steady person to take the day-to-day tasks of the manager's plate. This is not a "sit and wait for instructions" job. You'll be trusted with real responsibility fast. This job is mostly remote, but there will be times when we need to meet in person or you may be setting up for a workshop and meeting with contractors. What you'd actually be doing Keeping construction jobs moving: ordering product for crews, confirming delivery timelines, checking in with installers, flagging problems before they become problems Customer and lead follow-up in our CRM. Notes logged daily, nothing falling through the cracks. Scheduling and prepping our installer training classes: registrations, materials, room setup, travel details for attendees Being the connection point between the install crews, the product side, and the owner so everyone has the same information Building out the week: calendars, deadlines, what's due Friday, what's coming next week Research projects.
Some examples from real weeks:
what it takes to get a product listed on Amazon, comparing suppliers, pulling permit or licensing requirements, finding local design firms worth visiting. Forcasting and purchasing products and tools.
Light website and marketing work:
product updates, page edits, coordinating with our videographer on what we need filmed, basic ad and listing upkeep. We'll train you on the platforms.
Local outreach:
dropping samples with designers, builders, and showrooms around the valley Occasional personal and household errands for the owner. Nothing unreasonable, but this role does blend business and personal. Whatever the current odd project is. There's always one. Who this is for You're organized on your own, without someone checking on you You can write a clear email and talk to a contractor on a job site in the same afternoon You figure things out. When you hit something you've never done, your first move is to research it, not to ask what to do. You're comfortable with computers: email, spreadsheets, and picking up new software quickly You have a reliable vehicle and a clean driving record, and you're okay running around town Discretion. You'll see financials, customer information, and personal details.
