Job Description

Job Overview St. John's Pond Watershed Alliance (SJPWA) is seeking a part-time Administrator & Grants Coordinator to support the organization as it grows. This is a hands-on role for an organized, resourceful individual who can work independently and is interested in environmental conservation and community-based nonprofit work. Working closely with the President, Treasurer and Board of Directors, the Administrator & Grants Coordinator will support:
  • Day-to-day administration, correspondence, scheduling, records, and Board support
  • Researching, writing, submitting, and tracking grant proposals and reports
  • Donor and funder communications, acknowledgments, sponsorships, and database management
  • Newsletters, email communications, website and social media updates
  • Basic bookkeeping, financial recordkeeping, receipts and payments, and reporting
  • Support for annual Save the Pond Benefit, including invitations, digital communications, ticketing, guest communications, and general event coordination
  • Other community events, fundraising activities, and organizational projects as needed Qualifications We're looking for someone with strong organizational, writing, and communication skills who is comfortable managing multiple priorities and taking initiative.
Prior nonprofit, administrative, development, or grant-writing experience is preferred. Familiarity with donor databases, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace is a plus. Hours/Compensation

    10-20 hours per week
      Location:
      Cold Spring Harbor, NY, with approximately one day per week in person and occasional meetings and events
        Status:
        Part-time, non-exempt
          Compensation:
          Hourly rate commensurate with experience
