$25-$28/hour, based on experience About Sojourner House Sojourner House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. Through housing, advocacy, education, and community-based services, we help survivors rebuild safe and stable lives. Our Operations Department supports the staff and infrastructure that make this work possible. The Office Coordinator helps keep our administrative offices organized, welcoming, connected, and running smoothly. About the Role The Office Coordinator is a hands-on, service-oriented role that provides day-to-day administrative and operational support across Sojourner House locations. You will be one of the people staff, visitors, vendors, and community partners encounter when they need help. Some days may involve welcoming a visitor, preparing a meeting room, or answering a phone call. Other days may involve helping a new employee get set up, troubleshooting a printer, coordinating a vendor, receiving a delivery, restocking supplies, or transporting materials between locations. The right person for this role is organized, dependable, approachable, comfortable with technology, and willing to jump in when something needs to get done. You should be able to manage competing priorities, solve routine problems independently, and know when something needs to be escalated. What You'll Do Office & Administrative Support Serve as a welcoming point of contact for staff, visitors, vendors, and guests. Answer and route administrative phone calls and emails. Support shared calendars, meeting scheduling, room preparation, and general administrative needs. Prepare meeting and training spaces and ensure common areas are organized and ready for use. Assist with copying, scanning, filing, document preparation, and other administrative tasks. Help identify and address day-to-day office needs. Employee & Workplace Support Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including equipment, workspace, access, and supplies. Help employees with routine administrative and workplace needs. Coordinate employee access to offices, shared spaces, equipment, keys, and other resources. Handle organizational and employee information with appropriate discretion and confidentiality. Technology Support Provide first-line support for routine technology and office-equipment issues. Assist with computers, phones, printers, copiers, scanners, and other workplace equipment. Support routine employee technology setup and account/access requests. Coordinate with external IT and telecommunications providers when specialized support is needed. Track technology issues and follow up through resolution. Mail, Deliveries & Multi-Site Support Receive, sort, and distribute organizational mail and deliveries. Coordinate the movement of materials between Sojourner House locations. Complete local administrative errands and transport routine office supplies and organizational materials. Maintain appropriate care and discretion when handling organizational documents and materials. Supplies & Office Resources Monitor office supplies and administrative inventory across locations. Coordinate routine purchasing, receiving, organization, and distribution of supplies. Help maintain organized storage and shared spaces. Identify supply and workplace needs and take appropriate action or route concerns to the right person. Vendors & General Operations Serve as a point of contact for designated administrative vendors and service providers. Coordinate routine service appointments, deliveries, repairs, and follow-up. Track outstanding requests and communicate updates to appropriate staff. Assist with office moves, workspace changes, meetings, events, and other Operations projects as needed. Support additional Operations priorities as assigned. What We're Looking For 1-2 years of administrative, office coordination, operations, customer service, or similar experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Reliable follow-through and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Comfortable learning and using technology and new systems. Familiarity with Google Workspace or similar productivity tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A warm, professional, and service-oriented approach. Ability to work independently while recognizing when an issue should be escalated. Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information. Comfortable with both desk-based administrative work and hands-on office support. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel between Sojourner House locations. Ability to move throughout office and storage areas and transport routine office supplies and materials. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk or stand for extended periods of time. Successful completion of a criminal background check upon offer. Work Environment This is a fully in-person position supporting multiple Sojourner House locations. The work combines administrative and computer-based tasks with front-office responsibilities, local travel, and hands-on workplace support. The position requires regular movement throughout office and storage areas and occasional lifting or transporting of routine office supplies, equipment, and materials.
