Job Description
The City of Aiken is seeking a full-time Secretary to join our Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department. Secures and reserves facilities Registers participants Handles deposits and financial transactions Operates department registration software Types correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other documents pertinent to the department Maintains inventory of supplies Processes invoices Performs basic set-up and break down of rooms as needed High School diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Must obtain First Aid/CPR/AED and Defensive Driving certification within six months of employment Two years of clerical experience Excellent oral and written communication with staff, customers, and vendors Must be task oriented and organized Be able to manage work efficiently and proactively Possess excellent customer service skills This position is subject to a criminal background check for any convictions directly related to its duties and responsibilities.
