•17.00 per hour, depending on experience About Pawmetto Lifeline Pawmetto Lifeline is a nonprofit animal rescue organization dedicated to creating a no-kill community and state through adoption, pet retention, rescue partnerships, and medical services. Our employees are the passion behind our organization. Every day, our team works diligently to help animals in our community and believes that no pet should die simply because they are homeless. We are seeking a hardworking, energetic, administrative professional who has a genuine passion for animals and enjoys working in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Position Summary The Administrative Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to Pawmetto Lifeline leadership, administrative staff, and the implementation of certain special events. This position requires excellent organization, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently while also supporting a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, professional, and comfortable working around animals in an office setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide clerical and administrative support to Pawmetto Lifeline leadership, directors, and administrative staff. Assist with planning and coordinating organizational events, including shopping, setting up, and breakdown for monthly staff meetings, Board meetings, birthday "pawties", and annual on-site summer camps. Retrieve and compile information from medical records, email, and other organizational documents as requested. Maintain confidentiality when handling organizational, employee, client, and medical information. Perform other administrative and related duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in operating common office equipment, including computers, copiers, scanners, printers, and other standard office technology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related computer software. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as effectively in a team environment. Professional, dependable, and positive attitude. Education and Experience Associate degree preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in an administrative or clerical role. At least one year of experience working or volunteering with an animal welfare organization is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Physical Requirements Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday. Ability to assist with event setup and breakdown, including occasional lifting and moving of supplies and equipment. Schedule The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Occasional Saturday hours may be required to assist with scheduled organizational events. The last Friday of each month will be adjusted to 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to accommodate the setup and breakdown of Pawmetto Lifeline's All Staff Meetings. Compensation $15.00
