Job Description

Responsibilities You will perform a variety of administrative support functions for the Board of Accountancy. You will respond to customer inquiries received through walk-ins, telephone calls, e-mails, and other methods providing timely and accurate responses to board licensing requirements and processes. You will create and maintain records, registrations and other documentation for licensees and updating applicable databases and systems. You will enter all revenue into applicable systems and create revenue and deposit reports, as appropriate. You will research, review and evaluate college and university courses and transcripts to determine compliance with requirements. You will perform a variety of other administrative assistance functions including opening and distributing mail, preparing certificates, initiating refund requests, preparing interstate exchange of information for licenses, and scanning documents. Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience. Preferred Qualifications A high school diploma and four (4) years of experience that is directly related to the area of employment. Knowledge of principles and practices of office management and general administrative functions. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with individuals. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures with licensees. Strong customer service skills. Ability to understand and follow routine and complex instructions. Considerable skill in the use of office equipment, computers, and Microsoft products. Other Requirements Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing. May require occasional work outside of normal office hours. May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Daily filing, data entry, telephone and computer use.
