Job Overview An established personal injury law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant or Paralegal to assist with the accurate medical summaries and organization of medical records and talking to clients related to personal injury claims. This role is critical in helping our legal team evaluate cases, prepare demands, and support litigation. Duties Assist with all phases of personal injury cases from intake through resolution Order medical records and medical bills. Summarize medical records and create medical chronologies or summaries through an AI Medical Summary Program. Communicate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers. Meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment. Call clients on a regular basis about their case. Draft settlement demands and discovery responses. Obtain Impairment Ratings from Doctors. Determine values of Workers' Compensation Claims. Prepare medical portion of trial binders, exhibits, and settlement packages. Property Management. Requirements Proven experience in legal or personal injury experience or medical experience. Experience working in a personal injury or medical-legal setting Strong knowledge of medical terminology, especially related to trauma and orthopedic injuries Excellent typing, proofreading, and attention-to-detail skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and cased management systems High level of professionalism and discretion Willingness to communicate with public. Strong organizational and time management skills.
