Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm Position summary:
The candidate will support daily clinic operations by registering patients, verifying insurance and immunization information, scheduling appointments, processing vital records, handling cash, and maintaining accurate electronic records. Strong attention to detail, customer service, and computer skills are important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and promote health department services for which patients may be eligible.
- Register patients accurately and efficiently to maintain smooth clinic flow.
- Obtain and verify insurance information and check immunization status.
- Update patient contact information in applicable systems.
- Identify and eliminate duplicate patient records.
- Navigate and verify information across multiple computer systems.
- Follow CHS guidelines, manuals, policies, and SOPs to ensure accurate processing.
- Provide Vital Records services, including processing birth and death certificate requests.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Previous administrative/clerical or medical office experience preferred.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills.
- Ability to work with multiple systems and accurately enter/verify information.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
