Position Summary The Personal Assistant provides direct support and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role assists individuals with daily living activities, personal care, community participation, skill development, and medication administration while promoting independence, dignity, safety, and choice. Support meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, feeding (if needed), and special dietary needs while following food safety standards. Help with daily living tasks such as laundry, housekeeping, organizing, and maintaining a clean personal space while encouraging independence. Complete daily documentation, progress notes, and activity records accurately and on time, reporting any changes in health, behavior, or mood. Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals by providing supervision, preventing accidents, and following all safety and emergency procedures. Accompany individuals to community outings, appointments, and activities, promoting inclusion and community involvement. Report incidents, injuries, illnesses, concerns, or unusual situations to the Home Manager or appropriate supervisor immediately. Maintain compliance with all required trainings, including CPR, First Aid, Relias, safety trainings, and other assigned courses.
