These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Duties:
The Administrative Assistant provides part-time administrative support to the Visitor and Resource Protection (VRP) Division. The position supports division operations through general office administration, financial tracking, personnel onboarding support, and administrative assistance related to emergency services and operational programs.
General Office and Administrative DutiesProvide general administrative and office support to the VRP Division.
Establish, organize, and maintain electronic and physical division files and records.
Assist with preparation of correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and other administrative documents.
Use computers and appropriate software for data entry, tracking, and basic data analysis.
Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, training, and division activities.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned. 25%
Financial Management SupportMaintain division financial tracking logs and assist with administrative accounting tasks.
Assist with purchasing documentation and administrative tracking of division expenditures.
Support processing of travel authorizations and travel vouchers for division personnel.
Maintain financial documentation and records in accordance with agency procedures. 25%
Human Resources SupportAssist with administrative onboarding processes for new staff and temporary personnel.
Prepare and route HR documentation and onboarding paperwork.
Assist with processing paperwork related to Administratively Determined (AD) hires and other temporary personnel.
Maintain personnel-related administrative records. 25%
Visitor and Resource Protection Program SupportProvide timekeeping support for division staff to ensure accurate reporting and submission of employee time records.
Assist with administrative documentation and financial tracking related to major Search and Rescue (SAR) incidents.
Support administrative processes related to division emergency services and operational programs.
Maintain records and documentation supporting VRP operational activities. 25%
Qualifications:
HS/GED Degree in any with minimum additional experience of 5 year(s) in business administration
