Job Description
Primary Purpose Facilitate the efficient operation of the school administrative office and provide clerical services for the school's administrative staff. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure
High School diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of general office procedures
Efficient computer skills
Ability to work with frequent interruptions
Experience
Some verifiable clerical and public relations experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties Work at front desk assisting students, teachers, and parents as needed, while maintaining a positive attitude.
Answer telephone, screen and direct calls; answer questions; take and route messages.
Receive visitors; give assistance and answer questions relating to the office or the school.
Organize and maintain front reception area to promote a safe and secure school environment.
Maintain daily visitor sign-in notebook, using safety system checks of verifying identification of visitors.
Provide clerical support to the teachers, counselors, and principal.
Establish and maintain files and other information for reference and control purposes; provide needed information from the files.
Type reports, letters, forms; copy and distribute office communications.
Register and withdraw students as needed.
Sort and distribute mail.
Set up files on students; send and request school records.
Maintain emergency lunch fund for students.
Assist secretary with other office duties.
Attend and implement district training and requirements.
Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and state and local board policy.

Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
