Associates Degree in related field. Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position:
Performs advanced administrative assistant duties for the Career Success Center.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs advanced administrative assistant duties for the Career Success Center. Provides administrative support to the Director of the Career Success Center. Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff. Hires, trains, schedules, and supervises front desk student workers. Assists in managing the front desk and providing exceptional customer service to all visiting students, staff, faculty, and employers. Assists in developing policies and interprets policies and procedures. Schedules appointments for students needing to meet with Peer Career Advisors or Career Coaches; schedules and assigns in-person and virtual presentations for the office and assists in other office activities. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports. Attends meetings and takes notes. Prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes documents and correspondence. Maintains and handlesALLorders for the Career Success Center and supply inventory. Handles P-Card purchases, monitors expenses, responsible for signing it out to approved purchasers, and provides P-Card reconciliation each month for the office. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications:
Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices, and able to apply policies and procedures to solve routine problems of a repetitive nature. Requires skills in the use of standard office software. Previous experience working in a Career Center is preferred.
