Job Description
Principal Secretary (KCCC) Performs clerical, administrative, and accounting duties in keeping official records, and providing support to the Killeen Civic and Conference Center, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Special Events Center, and Rodeo Arena Complex staff. The employee will have the responsibility of:
- Preparing requests for quotations, obtains purchase orders and processes invoices for payment using the City of Killeen's financial system
- Answering and routing in-coming calls and provides information to callers
- Inputting data into standard office and division's forms
- Assisting in the procurement of division's materials and supplies
- Composing, typing, and editing a variety of correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material
- Preparing records such as notices, minutes, and resolutions
- Acting as custodian of division's documents and records
- Establishing and maintaining filing systems
- Scheduling appointments and Prepares and distributes news releases, flyers, brochures, notices, newsletters, etc.
- Preparing, inputting, and depositing all Mixed Beverages Sales receipts to include daily deposits and end of the month reports
- Ensuring taxes and management fees are paid in compliance with Texas law and Management Agreement
- Monitoring and reconciles budget revenue and expenditures throughout the year to include budget creation

- Graduation from high school or equivalent; and
- Two (2) year of modern office practices; or
- Any equivalent combination of related education and experience
Special Requirements:
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license within ninety (90) days of hire
- Must have a valid driver's license by date-of-hire
- Bilingual preferred
