Position:
Clerk, Special Education ARD
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Valid SBEC Educational Aide Certificate Associates degree or 48 college hours or NCLB ParaEducator Certificate issued by San Jacinto College or other local educational agency Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with campus staff and parents Previous special education and clerical experience preferred Knowledge of computers, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook); and use and navigation of the internet
Job Description:
Assist the diagnostician(s), speech/language pathologists, and teachers to schedule, prepare, and manage Admission, Review, Dismissal (ARD) meetings and accomplish relevant documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works under the general supervision of the campus principal and the immediate supervision of the diagnostician and/or speech/language pathologist.

Tools/Equipment Used:
Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture:
Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion:
Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting:
Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment:
May work prolonged or irregular hours
Mental Demands:
Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
