This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to support attorneys across a wide range of practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and more. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, legal research expertise, and proficiency with legal case management systems to ensure smooth operations within our law office. This paid position is perfect for someone eager to develop their paralegal experience and contribute to impactful legal work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings. Assist with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case preparation. Draft, proofread, and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Organize and maintain electronic and physical filing systems using document management software like iManage and PCLaw. Conduct document review and data entry for various cases involving estate planning, land use, tribal regulations, patent law, workers' compensation, personal injury, and other practice areas. Support litigation activities by preparing case files, managing document review processes, and assisting with discovery procedures. Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones with professional etiquette, managing email correspondence, transcribing dictations, and handling general clerical duties. Conduct legal research to assist attorneys in case development across multiple jurisdictions and practice areas. Maintain accurate records of all case-related documents and ensure compliance with firm policies. Skills Extensive knowledge of legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis. Proficiency in legal case management software such as iManage and PCLaw. Strong understanding of diverse practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), immigration law, litigation procedures, and contract drafting. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Superior writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clarity and professionalism. Attention to detail for proofreading documents and ensuring accuracy in all work products. Effective transcription skills for converting audio recordings into written reports or summaries. Demonstrated experience in legal administrative tasks such as filing, document review, data entry, and maintaining document management systems. Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and professional communication. Ability to conduct thorough legal research and synthesize findings clearly for attorneys' review. Experience supporting attorneys in a fast-paced law office environment with excellent organizational skills.
