Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Insurance Administrative Assistant to join a busy insurance office in Pasadena. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and computer skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and computer systems throughout the day. Insurance experience is a plus but not required. We are willing to train the right individual who is dependable, eager to learn, takes initiative, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to clients and assist with questions and requests.
- Communicate effectively with customers by phone, email, and in person.
- Navigate multiple insurance-related computer systems and platforms throughout the day.
- Enter and maintain accurate customer information and documentation.
- Learn and utilize various insurance systems, software, and CRM platforms.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist with general office and administrative duties as needed.
- Handle difficult or frustrated customers calmly and professionally.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced office environment.
- Follow up on customer requests and ensure issues are addressed appropriately.
- Work closely with team members to support daily office operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous customer service or office experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Comfortable working with customers in potentially stressful situations.
- Strong emotional resilience and professionalism.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous when handling difficult customer interactions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Insurance experience is a plus but not required.
