Job Summary Provides advanced secretarial and clerical support to the department. Position provides administrative support for leadership. Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks Assemble related material for use by supervisors and answer routine inquiries. Interview callers, make and cancel appointments, and answer questions. Provide service for several offices. Maintain databases for several offices. Prepare correspondence, articles, reports, and specifications. Process purchase requisitions, payment vouchers, travel requests and reimbursements, and payroll processing. Keep complex clerical records and prepare reports from a variety of material. Monitor expenditures and income against the budgets, maintain accurate accounting records and facilitate monthly reconciliation of accounts. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Education/Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Three (3) years of related work experience. May accept a combination of education and experience. Preferred Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in field closely related to the specific endeavor of the department. One (1) or more years of clerical experience. Database experience. Accompanying Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies Proficient with Microsoft Suite. Excellent customer service skills both in person and over the phone. Strong organizational skills. Understanding of operating standard office equipment. Strong ability to multi-task and work with many interruptions. Work with individuals who are facing personal and emotional challenges. Make appropriate referrals and connections to resources on campus. Capable of adapting to a changing environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ethical Ability to maintain confidential information.
