Part Time Administrative Assistant Chesterfield - Colonial Heights Education Association UniServ is seeking applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant .

UniServ is an affiliate of the Virginia Education Association, a statewide community of more than 40,000 teachers and school support professionals working for the betterment of public education in the Commonwealth.

UniServ supports the local education associations of Chesterfield and Colonial Heights. The Administrative Assistant reports to the UniServ Council Chair and the office is located in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing work for the UniServ Council as well as providing support to the unit's UniServ Director. Primary responsibilities of the position include answering the telephone, routine correspondence, maintaining electronic membership data, invoice processing, banking, financial reporting, assistance with budget preparation, reporting to the State Board of Elections as well as other general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communications skills, superior attention to detail, high level organizational skills, above average interpersonal skills and experience in bookkeeping and basic accounting. Must be proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office programs. High school diploma required with a minimum of 3 years of related experience. An understanding and appreciation for the role of public education in today's society is highly desirable. Hourly rate is between $20-22.50 based on background and experience. This is a part-time position estimated at 20-24 hours per week, with no benefits. The position follows the Chesterfield County Public Schools 12 Month Employee Calendar. The

office will close on federal holidays and during the CCPS winter break.
