The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is seeking Office Associate candidates to provide administrative and customer service support in our behavioral health programs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, dependable professional who enjoys working with people and supporting a team in a mission-driven environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least one year of clerical and/or customer service experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to use internet-based and virtual meeting tools such as Zoom.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience in a health care setting preferred.
What You'll Do
As an Office Associate, you will provide essential administrative and front-office support to help ensure efficient daily operations.
Responsibilities may include:
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide professional and courteous customer service.
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for staff and program activities.
- Maintain accurate client records and administrative files.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents.
- Enter and maintain information in electronic systems and databases.
- Assist with billing, payroll, and other administrative processes.
- Take meeting minutes and distribute information as needed.
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, caregivers, providers, and community partners.
- Respond to routine questions and help resolve day-to-day administrative issues.
- Use Microsoft Office and web-based applications to support program operations.
- Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
