Job Description

Grymes Memorial School is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year . This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of the main school office. The Administrative Assistant will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and students, and will support the daily operations of the school by working closely with the Head of School, faculty, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist visitors, parents, and students in a friendly and professional manner Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails Provide administrative support to the Head of School and faculty Maintain accurate student records and files Manage daily transportation lists and updates Maintain the school calendar and coordinate scheduling Support communication between the school and families
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Prior experience in a school or administrative setting is a plus Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Friendly, approachable, and able to work well with children and adults alike If you're a proactive and personable team player who thrives in a dynamic school environment, we would love to hear from you.
