ASAP Requirements Maintain a smoke-free environment. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Reliable personal vehicle required Must be comfortable with and have no allergies to cats and dogs. Strong English communication skills required, both written and verbal. Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). About Our Family We are a couple getting settled into a beautiful historic property in the Virginia countryside, roughly an hour outside Washington, D.C. Our home is a lovingly preserved and updated farmhouse on expansive acreage, complete with a pool, a guest house, a large garage, and stables. It's a property with real character, and keeping it running well takes a team with initiative and heart. Our pets (three cats and an enthusiastic bull terrier) are central to our daily rhythm, but our days alternate between quiet focus and bursts of activity — hosting guests, preparing for events, and managing vendors and projects. There is also a decent amount of travel in our life, and we see this potentially increasing, so it is important to us that we have a strong support system who can keep the space moving even when we are not physically present. We're a household that values professionalism, discretion, and a genuine sense of partnership. We anticipate this role growing and changing over time as we continue to learn this property, and there is also room for the right candidate to potentially flex into some assistance with other businesses or projects, including remote management of out-of-state properties. But for now, we're looking for organizational support: creating flows, providing daily resets, tackling errands, and some calendar management. We also need assistance with pet care, including overnights. Who You Are / What We're Looking For You're the kind of person who notices the little details, but also sees the big picture. You lead with initiative and ownership, take pride in creating order out of complexity, and never consider a task too big or too small. You read the room naturally — some days call for collaboration and conversation, other days call for quiet independence — and you're comfortable with both. You're an animal lover who doesn't skip a beat around a playful, energetic dog and three cats. You communicate clearly, follow through reliably, and bring a calm, capable presence to whatever comes your way. You understand that working in someone's home requires a high level of discretion, and you are comfortable signing an NDA. This role suits someone who thrives on variety, adapts easily, and genuinely enjoys the satisfaction of a well-run space. The ideal candidate will have a real project manager mentality: someone who is highly skilled in coordinating large-scale projects, but is also comfortable taking on the little tasks and preempting needs. Most importantly, we need someone who does not need to be told what to do — once onboarded, the right candidate is someone who walks in, sees what needs to happen, and gets it done.
