Government, Nonprofit, Education Description Overview The Department for Children & Families, Family Services Division Hartford District is seeking a temporary Administrative Services Technician IV to join our team of dedicated staff in supporting children, families and communities. Our goal is to promote safety, permanency, wellbeing, and law abidance for children in need. Your work will help Family Service Workers and other staff achieve this mission. The work we do is meaningful, challenging and critical to the safety and well-being of Vermont's children and families. The ideal candidate will be flexible, maintain a positive and professional attitude, have confidence in Excel and Word, and enjoy learning and using new systems. They will also have a demonstrated ability to manage deadlines with a high level of attention to detail/accuracy of data entry. The work is fast-paced, and this position is often the first contact that the public has with the local FSD office.Other work may include:
developing and maintaining documents and spreadsheets, ordering and coding invoices, taking meeting minutes, managing and tracking files, answering phones, greeting clients and other assigned tasks. This is a temporary position with an anticipated end date of the end of January 2027. This position will work approximately 22 hours per week; the daily schedule will vary depending on the business need of the office and will be discussed further during the hiring process. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.
