Job Description

Office Assistant Job Summary The Office Assistant helps keep the union hall running smoothly by answering phones, assisting members, organizing paperwork, and supporting staff with daily office tasks. Duties and Responsibilities Answer phone calls, emails, and greet visitors. Assist union members with questions and requests. Maintain member records and files. Prepare letters, notices, and other documents. Handle incoming and outgoing mail. Order and maintain office supplies. Provide general office support to union staff. Process and pay invoices using QuickBooks. Create basic advertisements, flyers, and other promotional materials using Microsoft Publisher. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with QuickBooks preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher. Good communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, organized, and able to work well with union members, staff, and the public. This position is part time, but could turn into a full time position.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
