Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One provides emergency medical services, fire suppression, and injury reduction and prevention services to an estimated population of 51,354, with 12,484 of its residents living within the city of Gig Harbor. The response area covers approximately 54 square miles in suburban and rural areas. Job Opening - Administrative Assistant Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One is seeking a dynamic and experienced Administrative Assistant, who will be responsible for providing high-level administrative support for the District, mainly in the Logistics Division. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, scheduling, research, reporting, inventory, procurement, receipt and distribution of deliveries, ordering/tracking supplies, vendor interaction, answering phones and assisting with any other administrative tasks as necessary. Refer to the job description posted on the website for additional information. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, onsite position.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of administrative assistance experience in a professional setting. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Software. Must be able to type a minimum of 45 words per minute. Must be tobacco and marijuana free at time of pre-employment testing. Must be a U.S. citizen or legally eligible to work in the U.S. Valid Washington State Driver License and acceptable driving record.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with inventory management, procurement, purchasing, ordering, vendor relations, purchasing/inventory software, and reporting.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Must successfully complete a 12-month probationary period and must successfully pass the pre-employment screening process to include driver license validation, driving abstract, education & reference verification, background check, drug testing and computer software program skills testing.
