Job Description We are looking for a dependable Office Assistant to support daily administrative operations for a construction-related business in Monroe, Washington. This contract opportunity with long-term potential is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping an office organized, coordinating communication, and assisting with a mix of clerical, customer-facing, and HR-related tasks. The role offers a steady part-time 3 days a week schedule and the chance to grow into a long-term position while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented workplace.
Responsibilities: Coordinate incoming service requests, arrange customer appointments, and keep scheduling information accurate within company systems. Serve as a communication link between office staff, field personnel, and customers by sharing updates and important information promptly. Organize physical and digital records to ensure documents are easy to access, current, and properly maintained. Scan, upload, and archive paperwork to support document digitization and improve recordkeeping efficiency. Provide administrative support for accounting tasks by helping process billing paperwork, incoming payments, bank-related documents, and related office records. Handle general front office duties, including answering inbound calls, supporting clerical needs, and helping maintain smooth day-to-day operations. Contribute to administration by assisting with employee documentation, routine personnel processes, and other office support responsibilities. Prior experience in an office support, administrative, or office assistant position. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members. High level of accuracy and organization when managing files, schedules, and routine administrative work. Ability to manage multiple requests, shift priorities quickly, and stay responsive in a busy office setting. Practical experience with clerical tasks such as filing, scheduling, document scanning, and answering phones. Familiarity with basic billing, accounting support, or payment processing is preferred. Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning platforms such as scheduling software. Dependable, self-directed, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
