Water & Wastewater Services, L.L.C. Water & Wastewater Services is a leader in contract management and operations of both public and private water and wastewater utilities. Water & Wastewater Services was established in 1983 and serves as many as 250 different utilities. We are located in Mount Vernon, Washington and serve clients in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, and Snohomish Counties. Administrative Assistant Job Description Water & Wastewater Services is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the office management related to several water system accounts in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish and Island Counties. This position is in the main office in Mount Vernon, WA. Office hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Some overtime and evenings are required. Duties Maintain and update records relating to systems. Filing Data entry Answering phones Light cleaning Scheduling Assist will Utilities Billing Department as needed. Assist with Operations Department as needed. Ensure communications between the office and field personnel is accurate and timely. Distributes locates to field staff Assist in large mailings Running Errands (vehicle provided and/or mileage reimbursement offered) Bank deposits as needed Drop off mailed as needed. Go to the County as needed. Assist water operators as needed. Order office supplies Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications Required:
Candidate must have a positive attitude and proactive approach to work. Candidate must be able to work independently and communicate effectively to the main office. Excellent customer service skills, 2 years related experience. Ability to multitask, detail oriented and proficient on a PC, Microsoft Office suite. Successful candidate will be able to meet short-range goals while maintaining focus on long-range goats. A clean, valid WA state driver's license is required.
Preference:
Preference given to candidates with work experience with municipalities, billing, board administration, audits, and multi-function companies. Preference will be given to those who have customer billing software experience. Compensation Salary is dependent on qualifications with a range of $19.00 - $25.00 hour.
