DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department at OMC by providing administrative support, and serving as the focal point for resolving a wide range of matters arising both within and outside the Emergency Department. The ED administrative assistant is responsible for the maintaining and updating the department staffing schedule, including auditing time card corrections. Additionally, they are responsible for: creation of the onboarding schedule for new staff, scheduling classes for staff, ordering ED office supplies, scheduling meetings, working with director/supervisor on staff vacations, and other clerical duties as needed. Responsible for maintaining a calm, orderly and productive working environment.
EDUCATION
Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field OR 3 years equivalent, associated work experience required.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in using word processing software, database software and in public relations. Must have strong customer service and computer skills. Emergency Department experience desirable.
LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS HUC
certification preferred.
