August August 2, 2012 SUBSTITUTE
SECRETARY DESCRIPTION
 Provide substitute secretarial support to the Port Angeles School District. This would include working as a substitute for the school secretaries and for secretaries in our Central Services Building and Maintenance Building. Must possess the availability and desire to work on an on-call basis with short notice and a commitment to support the Port Angeles School District staff when needed.
GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES/QUALIFICATIONS
 Assist and work positively with staff and possess the ability to handle stressful situations.  Must be able to assure/maintain confidentiality of information.  Take and relay accurate messages for all district administrators and office staff.  Sort and distribute mail, interoffice mail and UPS deliveries.  Routine typing, photocopying and other clerical duties.  Excellent organizational skills.  Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel programs.  Must have a calm and cordial manner with the public, in person and on the telephone.  Ability to work under time-pressure and attention to detail a must.  Other duties assigned by office staff.  Responding to stressful situations appropriately.  Maintaining regular attendance and punctuality.  All positions are on site and in person. Wages - Substitute Secretary $20.41 per hour Benefits - Medical, Retirement, Basic Life/AD&D, Basic Long-Term Disability, FSA & HSA.
