SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced, kind, passionate, dependable cook to assist with preparing, delivering meals for our Older Adults in Jefferson County at our Port Townsend site.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist and taking lead, when needed, in preparing and cooking meals as needed from an established menu. 2. Help facilitate the home bound meals program, completing In-Home assessments for all senior centers, assist with meal delivery when necessary at any senior center site, and providing information regarding services to clients and families. 3. Provide support for the Head Cook, Senior Nutrition Coordinator and Program Specialist. 4. Provide input in developing training programs for volunteers and trainers, delivery of training for volunteers and trainers 5. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Ability to provide a supportive atmosphere for clients. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Demonstrate reliability in time management and scheduling. Knowledge of community services. Ability to obtain Food Handlers Card Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance required at all times. Have HS diploma/GED Ability to pass and maintain a background check.

LOCATION/WORKING HOURS

Port Townsend Senior Center. Variable 30 to 35 hours per week. Work hours can vary from 6:00am to 4:00pm Mon- Fri depending upon responsibilities. This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing.
