CONSTRUCTION PAYROLL & PROJECT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT WCCL
Systems, LLC Puyallup, Washington Part-Time | Monday-Thursday | 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Approximately 28 hours per week
Pay:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience WCCL Systems is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Construction Payroll & Project Administrative Assistant to support our accounting and project-management operations. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, meeting weekly deadlines, and supporting multiple construction projects in a busy office environment. Construction accounting or certified-payroll experience is helpful, but we are willing to provide training to the right candidate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review employee timecards for completeness, correct job assignments, and accuracy. Follow up with employees and supervisors regarding missing or incorrect time entries. Prepare and submit certified payroll reports. Monitor certified payroll submissions and follow up until reports are approved. Assist with prevailing-wage documentation and compliance records. Enter estimates, job information, and project details into company systems. Review and update work-in-progress project information. Maintain accurate project and job-cost records. Clean up and review job-profit reports with Estimators. Prepare and compile job and financial reports to estimators and management. Post accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Maintain organized electronic and paper project records. Monitor assigned email communications and respond or follow up as needed. Coordinate with the Project Coordinator, accounting staff, estimators, field supervisors, and management. Complete other accounting, project, and administrative assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to organize competing priorities and meet recurring weekly deadlines. Clear and professional written and verbal communication. Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and detailed records. Ability to follow established procedures and ask questions when clarification is needed. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling payroll and employee information. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and general office software. Previous administrative, payroll, bookkeeping, or construction-office experience is preferred. QuickBooks, timekeeping software, certified payroll, prevailing-wage, or construction job-costing experience is preferred but not required.
WHAT WE OFFER
$25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience and qualifications. Consistent Monday-Thursday schedule from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Approximately 28 hours per week. On-the-job training. Education and job-related training reimbursement opportunities. Medical insurance eligibility after 60 days, subject to plan terms and employee eligibility. Two weeks of vacation after one year of employment, in accordance with company policy. Washington paid sick leave. Opportunity to develop experience in construction accounting, certified payroll, prevailing-wage compliance, and project administration. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, communicate when assistance is needed, and consistently complete time-sensitive assignments.
