Job Description

Base Pay Range:
$25.98 to $28.39 per hour

We are looking for an organized, motivated, personable individual to join the Self Help team. This position compiles applications, maintains waitlists, communicates with applicants, design marketing flyers, update social media, and Housing Kitsap's website promoting the Self-Help Housing program, and other administrative duties. Primary Job Functions Vet program participant's information for eligibility as it relates to income, work history and credit information. Submit vetted applicants for review to the Single Family Program Manager. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with program participants, including answering their questions, referring them to the correct person to answer their questions, obtaining documentation and entering the information into the ACT Database. Update and enter applications in the ACT database. Prepare weekly reports on the waitlist status. Promote the Single Family Housing Program and visibility in the community; encourage participation in the affordable housing programs. Produce marketing flyers, update program information on social media (Facebook) and Housing Kitsap website. Outreach to active and past participants. Plan, organize, and coordinate events including groundbreaking ceremonies, and open houses for Self-Help Housing Program. General Establishes and maintains a positive, supportive, and cooperative work environment. Takes proper safety precautions, anticipates unsafe circumstances, and acts accordingly to prevent accidents. Acts responsibly for the safety of self, others, materials, and equipment. Displays initiative to resolve problems and capitalize on opportunities. Promotes cost-effective use of the organization's resources.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
High School diploma or GED.
Experience:
Three years of experience in office administrative work or a closely related field or a combination of education, experience, and training that indicates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position listed above. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Word, Excel, and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping. Effective oral and written communication. Excellent interpersonal skills. Marketing skills for in person events and social media Additional Requirements Possession or ability to obtain and retain a valid Washington state driver's license.
