Legal Assistant - Personal Injury

Job Summary This Full-time Legal Assistant position will assist Cardinal North attorneys and other support staff with delivering top-quality services to our clients while upholding the firm's core values of Integrity, Transparency, and Accountability. This role requires knowledge and understanding of civil litigation practice. Specific Responsibilities

• Maintain physical and electronic client files
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
• Answer incoming phone calls and route them to the appropriate team member
• Scan and organize case-related documents
• Setup client folders for new clients including compiling intake information
• Communicate via phone and email with clients, witnesses, experts, health care providers, insurance adjusters, court staff, and opposing counsels' staff
• Draft form letters/documents from templates and review for accuracy
• File and arrange service of pleadings
• Calendar pre-litigation and litigation deadlines
• Update case tracking reports and case management software as the case progresses Qualifications
• 1+ year of legal assistant experience
• ideally in civil litigation
• Knowledge of electronic filing systems and basic law firm technology/software (e.g., Microsoft Office applications and case management software)
• Authorized to work in the United States Personal Attributes
