Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Land Technician/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine administrative expertise with land and property research, supporting our projects. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills, technical knowledge of land records, and excellent communication abilities. Your contributions will be vital in managing documentation and assisting with mapping and GIS tasks to ensure seamless project execution. Duties Conduct thorough title searches using public records, title records, and real estate transaction management software to verify property ownership and legal descriptions. Assist in the review and processing of real estate documentation, including easements, legal descriptions, and title reports, ensuring compliance with guidelines. Support land and royalty acquisition efforts by researching property histories, preparing legal descriptions, and coordinating with Land Management. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and mapping software to create accurate land maps, visualize property boundaries, and support project planning activities. Manage title review processes by verifying title search results, ensuring adherence to legal standards, and preparing documentation for closing or further review. Maintain detailed records of title searches, public records, and related correspondence; organize files for easy retrieval during project milestones. Communicate effectively with clients, legal teams, government agencies, and internal departments to facilitate smooth information flow and project progress. Requirements Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document preparation and data management. Knowledge of real estate law, legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and title processing procedures. Familiarity with real estate transaction management software and title search tools used in property research. Experience using GIS technology and mapping software to support land analysis and project planning. Ability to perform detailed research on public records and title histories accurately. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Excellent client communication skills combined with a customer service-oriented mindset. Previous law office or real estate documentation review experience is highly desirable. Attention to detail when reviewing titles, legal descriptions, and real estate documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
