N/A Job Summary:
The Office Assistant will provide essential support to ensure the smooth function of County Commission business. This role involves a combination of administrative duties, customer service, and collaboration on Commission projects. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Initiate, answer, and direct phone calls, manage emails, and meet deadlines. Manage Commission meetings' agendas and packets.Data Entry:
Input, update, and maintain digital and other records in databases and systems.Filing & Document Management:
Organize, file, and retrieve both paper and digital documents and information as needed.Scheduling & Calendar Management:
Assist with scheduling deadlines, appointments, and maintaining office calendars.Basic Bookkeeping:
Process invoices, track expenses, and assist with financial recordkeeping. Process payroll documentation.Team Support:
Support other team members, ensuring smooth daily office operations.Mailing & Shipping:
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries. Other duties as required.Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. College coursework or degree in a related field is a plus.Experience:
Previous experience in an administrative or office support role preferred. Previous government experience is preferred.Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment. Comprehension of data and sensitive data pertaining to intergovernmental communications Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks. Professional demeanor with strong customer service orientation.Work Environment:
Office setting, with occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. (e.g., moving supplies). Commission specific training will be provided. Typical work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30-4:30. Accountability and Promptness is expected.Candidates:
