temporary part-time position (October 15, 2026 to February 15, 2027) is available in the Assessor's Office. This is a 16-hour per week position with a salary of $30.00 per hour. PRIMARY DUTIES
Assessor's Office
- Performs clerical duties required of the position. Hours and schedule are flexible to meet the seasonal needs of the Assessor's Office.
- Assists with processing Homestead Tax Exemption applications
- Assists residents at the service counter and on the telephone in response to inquiries
- Performs data entry of applications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least two (2) years of office experience
- At least two (2) years of customer service experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Computer proficiency
- Must be attentive to detail
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills
REGULAR HOURS OF WORK
This is a temporary part-time non-union position. This is a 16-hour per week position. The hours of the position vary. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the Assessor's Department.
REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to:
- work in an office setting subject to continuous interruptions and background noises, and similar office equipment,
- operate standard office equipment including calculator, copier, telephone, computer, printer
- remember multiple tasks and assignments given to self and others,
- hear normal sounds with some background noise and to communicate effectively,
- perform gross body coordination and perform tasks that require hand-eye coordination, carry, lift documents and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
