Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician and Office Receptionist to join our Team. This dual-role position involves providing exceptional animal care and delivering outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animals, possess strong communication skills, and be comfortable handling pets of all sizes. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on pet health and client satisfaction. Duties Provide attentive care to animals in the kennel, including feeding, cleaning, and providing attention & exercise. Assist with pet grooming, pet boarding, and office duties. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills. Be able to administer simple medications with attentiveness. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennel areas. Greet clients at the reception area, schedule appointments, and manage patient grooms and boarding reservations. Answer phone calls, respond to client inquiries, and provide excellent customer service. Manage administrative tasks including check-in/check-out procedures, and maintaining appointment schedules and/or reservations. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or animals safely. Experience Prior experience in veterinary clinics, kennels, pet grooming, or animal care is highly desirable. Knowledge of dog training, animal restraint, and handling techniques preferred. Strong background in customer service within a pet care setting is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Familiarity with pet sitting or pet care services is advantageous This position requires a compassionate attitude towards animals and clients, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
