Full-Time | Hotel Engineering & Maintenance Leadership
WE'RE LOOKING FOR A FIXER, A LEADER & A PROBLEM SOLVER.
WoodSpring Suites Port Orange is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Chief Engineer to take ownership of the maintenance and physical condition of our hotel. We're looking for someone who doesn't just identify problems — you know how to fix them. The right candidate takes pride in their property, understands preventive maintenance, responds quickly to guest and operational needs, and believes that a well-maintained hotel is essential to both the guest experience and the hotel's financial success.WHAT YOU'LL OWN
As Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, appearance, and functionality of the property.Key responsibilities include:
Perform and oversee daily hotel maintenance and repairs Maintain a strong preventive maintenance program Troubleshoot and repairPTAC/HVAC
units Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs Maintain guestrooms, public areas, exterior areas, and hotel equipment Respond quickly to guestroom maintenance requests Complete room preventive maintenance and ensure rooms are returned to inventory quickly Conduct regular property and equipment inspections Maintain an organized maintenance shop and accurate tool/inventory controls Track work orders and ensure timely completion Identify recurring maintenance issues and recommend permanent solutions Coordinate and supervise outside vendors when specialized work is required Monitor repair costs and help control maintenance expenses Maintain required maintenance and safety documentation Support property improvement and capital projects Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and applicable codes Work closely with the General Manager and hotel leadership teamWE WANT SOMEONE

An out-of-order room impacts revenue, and guest-related maintenance issues require immediate attention. Takes pride in the property. You notice the details others may walk past.QUALIFICATIONS
Previous hotel, apartment, multifamily, commercial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred Hotel Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor experience is a plus Strong general maintenance and troubleshooting skills Experience withHVAC/PTAC
systems strongly preferred Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry, and general building repairs Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and projects Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of the hotel leadership team Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations when necessary Must have reliable transportation AppropriateHVAC/EPA
