at Illinois State Police in Macomb, Illinois, United States Job Description Essential Functions Performs administrative and clerical support for Illinois State Police ( ISP ) Division of Criminal Investigation ( DCI ) Zone 4 work units. Manages or maintains a variety of paraprofessional duties including confidential investigative correspondence, maintenance of files for police/investigative reports, Alcohol Measures, Meth Response Team activity, and personnel files. Manages and maintains all inventory information on the applicable inventory system. Coordinates and directs staff in a variety of duties in the flow of personnel transactions and Promotional Skills Evaluations. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two years of office experience. Requires skill in typing accurately at 45 w.p.m.  Preferred Qualifications Prefers a minimum of two (2) years' experience of office practices, procedures and programs. Prefers a minimum of two (2) years' experience of composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation. Prefers a minimum of two (2) years' experience of basic mathematics. Prefers a minimum of two (2) years' experience of Microsoft Office Suite. Prefers ability to follow oral or written instructions. Prefers ability to operate commonly used manual and automated office equipment and perform routine maintenance. Conditions of Employment Pass the Illinois State Police Background Investigation.
