Full Job Description Classified Vacancy :
West Seneca Central School District is seeking a qualified candidate for the following opening at the
Transportation Department:
Clerk Typist, P/T — This is a 12-month position.
Approximate hours:
9:00 am - 12:45 pm Monday - Friday Part-time positions receive paid personal and leave days and are eligible for membership in the NYS Retirement System. Provide general clerical support to the Transportation Department. Perform data entry and maintain accurate transportation records, reports, and related documentation. Answer and direct telephone calls and assist staff, drivers, mechanics, and other department personnel as needed. Prepare, process, organize, and maintain work orders, invoices, forms, and other departmental records. Assist with filing, document organization, correspondence, and routine office functions. Support the Head Mechanic with scheduling, maintenance records, work orders, and other clerical responsibilities. Assist with tracking and processing transportation and maintenance-related documentation. Communicate professionally with Transportation Department staff, district personnel, vendors, and the public. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling departmental information.
