THE POSITION

As a Clerk Typist 2 for the Delaware County Area Agency on Aging, you will play a key part in creating a friendly and organized first point of contact. This position allows you to support important clerical duties that keep the agency running well. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers while supporting routine clerical responsibilities. The work requires strong communication skills and careful attention to detail. As a Clerk Typist 2, you will perform the following duties:Front Desk Support:
Greet visitors and guide them to the appropriate office or staff memberPhone Coordination:
Answer and route calls while sharing basic agency informationMail Handling:
Receive, sort, log, distribute, and prepare incoming and outgoing mailClerical Tasks:
Complete data entry, scanning, copying, filing, and related office dutiesAppointment Scheduling:
Coordinate and schedule meetings or appointmentsRecord Tracking:
Update logs, spreadsheets, and files based on established proceduresWork Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or Any combination of equivalent experience and training.Other Requirements:
