Job Description

Description To avoid conflict of interest, Talking Tadpoles does not hire guardians or siblings of current or former patients. The Therapy Tech is a vital role and part of the Talking Tadpoles team. Our ideal candidate is action-oriented, positive, and outgoing. Maintains a friendly and welcoming relationship with all clients and staff. Keeps all office areas organized and clean. Sanitizing employee and patient bathrooms once during the day. Cleaning break room area each day in the afternoon. This includes wiping all countertops, washing any dishes in sink, and putting away items.
Weekly:
Clean out the fridge in break room. Emptying all office trash cans as requested during the day. Ensuring all office surfaces are wiped/sanitized daily. Keeping toy closet clean and organized. Keep all information confidential in accordance with HIPAA. Sanitize gym equipment as requested during the day. This involves cleaning mats/swings/trampoline. Sanitize toys as requested during the day. Prepares treatment areas for therapy and maintains safe and sanitary conditions. Assist therapists with patient transition and hand washing before and after sessions when requested. Ability to assist patients with transfers, positioning, or mobility as appropriate Performs other essential functions as needed, including minimal supervision once trained Ability to use computers, tablets, and electronic health record systems for documentation, scheduling, and communication. Ability to maintain professional boundaries, ethical conduct, and confidentiality at all times Ability to work effectively with children who may exhibit behavioral, emotional, or sensory regulation challenges Ability to adhere to safety protocols and infection-control procedures Performs other essential functions as needed, including minimal supervision once trained Knowledgeable in all standard policies and procedures, and upholds those standards. Represent the clinic in the community in a professional manner.
Additional Job Requirements:
Ability to arrive to assigned locations on time and maintain regular, reliable attendance. Ability to work scheduled hours Meticulous attention to detail over the course of the workday Ability to sustain physical and mental activity throughout a scheduled workday Ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally charged or high-stimulation environments Ability to lift and carry up to 30-40 pounds occasionally Ability to maintain prolonged standing or sitting Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and reach throughout the workday Other duties as assigned. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not required.
