Independent Rural Mail Carrier (1099 Contractor)South Lake Tahoe, CA $300 per day | Up to 6 Days per Week | Use Your Own Vehicle About Ryno Management Ryno Management is an established USPS transportation contractor that has been successfully operating rural mail routes for over 13 years. We currently manage more than 30 USPS contract routes throughout Northern California and continue to grow as the Postal Service privatizes additional rural routes. We currently operate five emergency contract rural routes in South Lake Tahoe and are looking for dependable independent contractors to join our team.

Please Note:

This is NOT a USPS employee position. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity . You are operating as your own small business while performing mail delivery under Ryno Management's USPS contract.

You will:

Use your own delivery vehicle Pay for your own fuel and vehicle maintenance Receive no company benefits or paid time off Have significant independence with very little day-to-day supervision Have extremely reliable work / hours / high-pay If you're looking for a traditional employee position with benefits, this is probably not the right fit. Pay $300 per route/day Up to 6 days per week available (Sundays off) Additional earnings available through approved USPS "Extra Trip" compensation during unusually heavy parcel days.

Approximate annual earnings:

4 days/week: ~$60,000 5 days/week: ~$75,000 6 days/week: ~$90,000+ What You'll Do Deliver USPS mail and packages on an established rural route. Load and organize mail and parcels each morning. Case, organize and pull down your route mail for delivery. Safely operate your personal vehicle throughout the route. Deliver mail accurately and on schedule. Scan packages using USPS-issued handheld equipment. Follow all USPS procedures and delivery standards. Maintain a professional attitude while serving the public. What the Job Is Really Like This isn't an easy driving job.

South Lake Tahoe routes experience:

Heavy Amazon parcel volume. Long days during peak seasons. Mountain driving. Snow, ice, and winter weather. Frequent lifting of packages up to 70 pounds.
